ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Playing through cooler temperatures and rain in Sunday's final round of the Navy Spring Invitational, the Saint Joseph's golf team jumped two spots to finish in fourth place in the 13-team field. As a team, the Hawks carded a two-round score of 303-318/621 at the par-71 Naval Academy Golf Course.

Individually, SJU sophomore Michael O'Brien tied for 10th at 76-77/153, with junior Ross Pilliod tying for 15th at 76-79/155. Chuck Briggs finished in a tied for 19th with a two-round score 76-80/156 and Reed Winkler tied for 24th at 75-82/157. Freshman Wills Montgomery rounded out the five-man Hawk squad tying for 35th at 78-82/160.

George Washington captured the team title by nine strokes at 604, while the Colonials' Jack Porcelli shot 147 to earn medalist honors.

The Hawks wrap up their 2017-18 season at the Atlantic 10 Championship starting April 27 and running through April 29.
