LEESBURG, Va. – Senior Cassidy Weimer led all Hawks with a 32nd-place individual finish as the Saint Joseph's women's cross country squad placed 10th in a field of 14 teams at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championship, hosted by George Mason University at the Oatlands Plantation on Saturday morning. Saint Joseph's averaged a 5k time of 19:12.96 and earned 237 points. Dayton won the meet with 42 points, followed by Richmond (61) and Davidson (67).

Paced by a 6:04 mile time, Weimer crossed her final collegiate A-10 cross country meet in 18:53.8.

Junior Elaine Estes cruised to a time of 19:00.0 for 40th overall, destroying her previous PR in the event by eight seconds.

Juniors Lucy Harmon (19:15.4) and Lindsey Oremus (19:20.4) finished 52nd and 55th, respectively, while graduate student Sydney Coughlin (19:35.2) rounded out the scoring for the Crimson and Gray in 70th.

Sophomore Meridith Twomey (91st, 20:01.3) and junior Britton Gagliardi (93rd, 20:03.0) finished as SJU's #6 and #7 runners.

The Hawks return to action at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship on Friday, November 10. The 6k race is slated to begin at 10:45 a.m. on Lehigh University's Goodman Campus in Bethlehem, Pa.
