Saint Joseph's freshman Amanda Nava won the first singles flight on Sunday at the SJU Invitational, while junior Laura Gomez earned the third singles consolation title.

Opening the day versus Kendra Bunch of Drexel in the semifinals, Nava earned a quick 6-2, 6-2 win to advance to the title match.

In the championship contests, Nava again was dominant as she earned the flight title with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Villanova's Althans.

At the second consolation singles flight, Gomez and Isis Gill-Reid advance to the title match for an all-Hawk matchup. Gomez earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory in the semifinals, while Gill-Reid battled to a 6-3, 1-6, 10-5 decision. In the finals matchu, Gomez topped her teammate, 6-3, 6-1 to win the consolation bracket title.

In the third singles consolation bracket, sophomore Katherine Devlin battled but fell 4-6, 7-6 (6), 10-4 to eventual champion Arielle Shuren of Delaware. In the fourth consolation bracket, Iswarya Vel fell to eventual champion Danielle Gannon of Bucknell, 6-1, 6-0.
