CHANTILLY, Va. - The Saint Joseph's golf team shot 302 in the the final round of the Patriot Intercollegiate on Tuesday to finish tied for 10th in the 16 team field.
Playing at the par-72 Chantilly National Golf and Country Club (7,071 yards), the Hawks carded a three-round score of 299-307-302/908.
Individually, Michael O'Brien tied for 18th at 72-76-73/221, while Ross Pilliod finished tied for 33rd with a three-round score of 80-70-75/225. Wills Montgomery tied for 42nd with a score of 72-78-76/226 with Reed Winkler tying for 72nd place at 75-83-78/236. Chuck Briggs capped the five-man squad with a socre of 81-83-78/242 to tie for 82nd place.
Appalachian State captured the team title by three strokes with a score of 873, while the Mountaineers' Tripp Summerlin captured medalist honors with a three-round total of 209.
Saint Joseph's returns to action at October 1 at the Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational.
