PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's men's soccer squad (2-4-2) will play its fourth road match in its last five contests when the Hawks head to Navy (1-6-1) this Tuesday, September 26. Kickoff at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility in Annapolis, Md. is slated for 7:00 p.m.

Live streaming will not be available for the match.

Tuesday’s match will mark the ninth all-time meeting between Saint Joseph’s and Navy. The Midshipmen own an 8-0-0 all-time series advantage. The Hawks have played the Midshipmen twice in the last two seasons; prior to that, the squads hadn’t faced each other since 2009.

The Hawks have struggled as of late, entering Tuesday's contest on a three-match losing skid, while the Midshipmen dropped three in a row before most recently playing to a draw vs. Holy Cross.

Senior midfielder Matt Crawford has scored five of SJU's seven goals this fall, while O'Connell (2-4-1) sports a 1.20 goals against average and .826 save percentage in 601:08 and has made seven saves in each of his last four outings. Junior defender Eddie McCusker and freshman defender Daniel Morales have played all 766 minutes through SJU's first seven matches.

Navy started the season 0-3 with losses to Manhattan (1-0), NJIT (1-0), and Campbell (2-1 2OT) before picking up its lone win of the season at James Madison (3-1). Navy then dropped three in a row to George Washington (3-1), Duquesne (2-1), and UMBC (2-0) before most recently playing Holy Cross to a 1-1 draw on Saturday. Daniel Zaremba and Aubrey Jones lead the Midshipmen with two goals apiece, but it was Piroz Bahar who netted the equalizer vs. Holy Cross. Goalkeeper Mac Burke (1-6-1) sports a 1.55 goals against average and .717 save percentage in all 755:00.

The Midshipmen were predicted to finish eighth in a field of 10 teams in the Patriot League Preseason Poll. Navy finished 5-9-4 overall and 1-6-2 in the Patriot League last fall.
