PHILADELPHIA – Coming home from a three-match road stretch, the Saint Joseph's men's soccer squad (2-3-2) is set to host Yale (2-4-0) this Saturday, September 23. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. on Sweeney Field. The Hawks are 2-0-1 at home this fall while Yale is 0-3 on the road.

Saturday’s match will mark the second all-time meeting between Saint Joseph’s and Yale. The Bulldogs own a 1-0-0 all-time series advantage after taking home a 3-1 win in SJU’s season finale last fall.
The Hawks are coming off of a 3-0 loss at Villanova on Tuesday. Senior midfielder Matt Crawford has scored five of SJU's seven goals this fall, while senior goalkeeper Greg O'Connell (2-3-1) sports a 1.23 goals against average and .816 save percentage in 511:08.
After dropping its season opener to Fairleigh Dickinson (2-0), Yale won back-to-back games against Howard (3-0) and Hartford (1-0) before dropping its next three to Vermont (1-0), California (1-0) and Stanford (3-1). John Leisman has hit the back of the net twice to lead the Bulldogs in scoring while Kees Schipper (2-4-0) sports a 1.17 goals against average and .611 save percentage in 540:00.
Kyle Kenagy scored on a header off of a long throw in from Justin Lobe to put the Bulldogs on the board against defending national champion Stanford on Sunday.
Yale finished 3-10-3 overall and 1-4-2 in the Ivy League in 2016.
