VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Saint Joseph's men's soccer squad (2-3-2, 1-1-0 Soccer Six) dropped a 3-0 match-up at Villanova (5-3-0, 1-0-0 Soccer Six) in Philadelphia Soccer Six action at the Higgins Soccer Complex on Tuesday afternoon.

The Wildcats opened scoring in the 29th minute on a re-direction of a low cross to own a 1-0 lead entering the halftime break.

Villanova then converted a penalty kick in the 66th minute and added its third goal in the 72nd minute.

For the third consecutive match, Saint Joseph's senior goalkeeper Greg O'Connell (2-3-1) made seven saves, which stands as his season-high.

Villanova outshot Saint Joseph's 21-12 and landed 10 shots on goal in comparison to the Hawks' three by junior forward Derek MacKinnon (2'), senior forward Isaac Agyapong (35'), and senior midfielder Matt Crawford (47').

Saint Joseph's returns home to host Yale this Saturday, September 23. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. on Sweeney Field.
