PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team had its two game win streak snapped at Providence on Thursday as the Friars topped the Hawks, 3-0.

Providence jumped out to a 2-0 lead by halftime behind goals in the 12th minute by Theresa Durkee and Kristin Hayman in the 40th.

The Hawks' offense was held in check by Providence as the Friars limited SJU to just two shots on goal, while they added an insurance goal in the 65th minute courtesy of Christina Rodgers.

For the game, Michaela Finneyfrock recorded a team-best two shots for the Hawks, while Grace Bendon made six saves.

Saint Joseph's returns to action on Sunday when it hosts Columbia at 1 p.m.
