MERION STATION, Pa. - It's a battle of the top two teams in the Atlantic 10 this weekend as the first place Saint Joseph's softball team hosts second place Massachusetts in a three-game series starting on Saturday.

The Hawks and Minutewomen open with a doubleheader on Saturday, with game one set for a noon start. The two teams will cap the series on Sunday at noon.

Winners of nine straight, Saint Joseph's enters the weekend with a 18-20 overall record and 9-3 mark in the A-10. The Hawks have won six straight games in conference play as they swept series versus Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure the previous two weekends.

Currently second in the A-10 at 8-3, Massachusetts has won eight of its last 10 conference games, including taking two of three from Fordham last weekend. Overall, the Minutewomen are 20-19 are earned a 2-1 win over Boston College this past Wednesday.
