RICHMOND, Va. - The Saint Joseph's women's basketball team opens Atlantic 10 play this Saturday as the Hawks head to Richmond for a 2 p.m. tip at the Robins Center.

• The Hawks enter Saturday’s matchup holding a 14-5 edge over the Spiders in the all-time series and have won six straight over Richmond.
• Saint Joseph’s won both meetings last season, including a 59-57 last-second win on February 27 in the regular season finale at the Robins Center.
• Saturday marks the 34th Atlantic 10 opener for Saint Joseph’s.
• The Hawks are 28-5 all-time in conference opening games, and have topped Richmond three times in the opening game of the A-10 slate (2001-02, 2012-13, 2013-14).
• Saint Joseph’s is coming off an 85-72 loss to James Madison in its non-conference finale on Wednesday.
• Junior Adashia Franklyn scored a career-high 20 points versus James Madison.
• Sophomore Kristalyn Baisden came off the bench for a career-best 13 points on Wednesday. • Junior guard/forward Chelsea Woods is closing in on Saint Joseph’s all-time leaders in rebounding as she enters Thursday with 435 boards, just 10 shy of Ayahnna Cornish ‘07 in 25th place (445).
