BLACKSBURG, Va. - Members of the Saint Joseph's men's tennis team continued play in the ITA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship at Virginia Tech's Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center on Saturday.

In morning doubles action, seniors Renier Moolman and Andres Urrea reached the Round of 16 via an 8-6 win over Peter Beatty and Jordan Portner, a seeded duo from Georgetown.  Their run ended one win short of the quarterfinals as they fell to Penn State's Tomas Hanzlik and Zach Lieb by an 8-6 score.

Junior Kyle Chalmers and sophomore Peter Dewitt fell in the Round of 32 to UMBC's Biyik Akinshemoyin and Eliott Loubatie, 8-3.

Moolman also saw action in the main singles draw, falling in the Round of 64 to Alexandre Felisa, a seeded player from Richmond, 6-3, 7-6 (6).

In the consolations, Chalmers came away with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Liberty's Maxim Borcuti, while junior Tristan Boustany led Theopile Lanthiez of Old Dominion, 6-0, 3-1, when Lanthiez retired.
