MERION STATION, Pa. - Senior Andres Urrea and freshman Andre Fick won singles flight titles on Sunday as the seventh annual Saint Joseph's Men's Tennis Invitational concluded at the SJU Tennis Complex.

The Hawks also swept the two doubles flight championships, as Urrea and sophomore Peter Dewitt won the first flight and Fick and freshman Dan Tan were winners in the second.

Urrea won his first-flight semifinal match over Lehigh's Jack Petersen in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4, before defeating junior teammate Kyle Chalmers, 6-3, 2-6, 10-4, in a tight championship match.  Chalmers reached the final after a hard-fought 6-7 (3), 6-3, 10-4 semifinal victory over Sinan Orhon of Drexel.

In the third flight, Fick outlasted Lehigh's Colin Nardella, 3-6, 6-2, 10-7, before dropping Penn's Dan Harris by a 6-0, 0-6, 10-8 scoreline.

Urrea and Dewitt topped senior Kevin Gates and junior Tristan Boustany, 8-2, in the first flight semifinals before defeating Chalmers and senior Renier Moolman, 9-8 (3), in the final.  Chalmers and Moolman had previously earned an 8-5 win over a duo from Penn.

Fick and Tan raced by senior Sam Cadwell and Penn's Dan Harris, 8-2, in the semifinals before taking the title with an 8-4 result over a pairing from Lehigh.

Dewitt fell in his second singles flight semifinal, 6-4, 7-6 (5) to eventual flight champion Gabriel Rapoport of Penn.  In the fourth flight, sophomore Grant Boyle fell in a supertiebreaker, 6-0, 2-6, 10-6, to Villanova's Sean Gorwara in the semifinals as well.

Senior Clark Ruiz and sophomore Nick Ringle succumbed in the fourth consolation flight; Ruiz fell to Delaware's Colin Wong, 6-2, 6-1, while Ringle went down to Daniil Ginzburg of Drexel, 6-4, 6-4.  In the second doubles consolation flight semifinals, Boyle and Ringle fell to a duo from Lehigh, 8-1.

The Hawks return to the court on October 3 and 4 when they head to the George Mason Invitational.
