Meet a Hawk: Britt Hazard

Every Monday, the Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse program will highlight one member of its 2014-15 squad. Leading us into our third week will be SJU freshman Britt Hazard, a rookie midfielder out of Elkins Park, Pennsylvania!

1. Why did you choose Saint Joseph's?
Saint Joseph's was close to home, and the team looked like a family. I wanted to be a part of that.

2. What is your favorite thing about Hawk Hill?
My favorite thing about Hawk Hill is Hagan Arena.

3. Where is your favorite place on Hawk Hill?
My favorite place on Hawk Hill is Sweeney Field.

4. What is the best course you've taken or are currently taking at Saint Joseph's?
Management.

5. What is your major at Saint Joseph's? Dream job?
My major is business intelligence, because it deals with sorting out data, and I took AP Statistics my senior year [of high school] and really liked it. My dream job is to be a lawyer.

6. Do you have any pregame rituals?
I just listen to dubstep or club music to get me hyped up.

7. What is your favorite thing to do while not playing lacrosse?
When I'm not playing lacrosse, I like to snowboard or go to the beach, depending on the season.

8. What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
My favorite lacrosse memory is when I played club for the first time my freshman year of high school.

9. Do you have any hidden talents?
I can move one eye without moving the other.

10. Who is your favorite professional athlete?
Right now, my favorite athlete is Richard Sherman from the Seattle Seahawks.

11. Who is your favorite musical artist?
My favorite musical artist is Calvin Harris.

12. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would have telekinesis because it seems the most fun.

13. What is your favorite food? Favorite restaurant?
My favorite food is steak and my favorite restaurant is Fogo De Chow, a Brazilian steakhouse.

14. If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you?
1. A radio to hopefully contact help.
2. A machete to protect me and scavenge food.
3. Matches to start fires.

15. If you could have dinner with three people, past or present, who would they be?
1. Will Smith because he's one of my favorite actors.
2. Bradley Cooper because he went to high school with my mom and I'd want to find out what my mom was like in high school.
3. Barack Obama because he is the first African American president.
