Every Monday, the Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse program will highlight one member of its 2014-15 squad. Starting it off this week will be SJU's recordholder in single-game assists, a junior attack out of Newtown, Pennsylvania, Emily Bowers.
1. Why did you choose Saint Joseph's?
I liked the distance from home and loved the campus.
2. What is your favorite thing about Hawk Hill?
Definitely the campus.
3. What is your favorite place on Hawk Hill?
Outside of Campion, in the courtyard area with the picnic tables.
4. What is the best course you've taken or are currently taking at Saint Joseph's?
Impressionism with Professor Hage. I LOVED IT.
5. What is your major at Saint Joseph's? Dream job?
Communications, because it is broad enough that I can have options. My dream is to start my own non-profit.
6. Do you have any pre-game rituals?
Dance as much as I can.
7. What is your favorite thing to do while not playing lacrosse?
Doing anything outside with friends and family while listening to music.
8. What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
Spring break in Florida. We beat Stetson and then went to Universal the next day.
9. Do you have any hidden talents?
I can make a water drop noise.
10. Who is your favorite professional team and athlete?
The Phillies and Chase Utley.
11. Who is your favorite musical artist?
SUPER HARD QUESTION. Dispatch is one of my favorites.
12. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Teleport anywhere; you could see anyone you wanted, whenever you wanted!!
13. What is your favorite food? Favorite restaurant?
Watermelon. A small place by my house called Vince's.
14. If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you?
1. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince or Deathly Hallows. NEVER gets old.
2. Blanket. Who wouldn't want to bring a blanket?
3. iPod FILLED with all my music and an everlasting battery life!!
15. If you could have dinner with three people, past or present, who would they be?
1. Jennifer Lawrence - she is awesome.
2. Josh Duhamel - he is beautiful.
3. J.K. Rowling - she is amazing.
16. Who is your hero?
My mom, for sure.
