RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Tasheed Carr scored 21 points to lead Saint Joseph's in a 68-58 win over Richmond on Wednesday night. The Hawks remain undefeated in Atlantic 10 play, winning their seventh straight game.
Ahmad Nivins notched a double-double for the Hawks (12-7, 5-0 Atlantic 10), scoring 15 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. It was his 12th double-double of the season, and his 30th straight game in double-digit scoring. Idris Hilliard added 11 points.

The Hawks controlled the second half, stretching the lead as high as 18 at 50-32 with 12:05 to go after Carr fed Bryant Irwin for a bucket in the paint. It was one of a season-high eight assists for the senior captain.
Richmond scored the next nine points, cutting the lead in half with 7:47 to go. Out of a timeout, Govens hit another three to push the lead back to double digits.
The Spiders would get as close as five in the final minute, but Saint Joseph's converted 10 of 12 free throws over the final 66 seconds, including five by Carr, to secure the victory.
The Hawks will look to extend their winning streak to eight on Sunday with a road tilt at Dayton.
