NEW ORLEANS, La. – For the sixth consecutive year, the Saint Joseph's women's cross country squad has earned United States Track and Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) Division I All-Academic honors. The Hawks were honored for the 2017 season to earn the USTFCCCA recognition for the ninth time since 2007.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country All-Academic Team, a program must have started at least five runners at the 2017 NCAA Division I Regional Cross Country meet and must hold a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Graduate student Sydney Coughlin, senior Cassidy Weimer, juniors Elaine Estes, Britton Gagliardi, Lucy Harmon, and Lindsey Oremus, and sophomore Meridith Twomey represented the Hawks at the 2017 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship in Bethlehem, Pa., and the entire team combined for a cumulative GPA of 3.38.
