PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's baseball team has announced its 2011 fall schedule. The slate includes a rematch with the Ontario Blue Jays as well as games at Lehigh and Princeton, and is highlighted by the Crimson and Gray World Series at Campbell's Field in late October.
Saint Joseph's will play host to the Ontario Blue Jays on Sunday, September 25 at 3:00 p.m. at Campbell's Field. The contest will feature 14 innings between the Hawks and the Blue Jays, one of Canada's top amateur baseball programs. The teams met previously in 2010.
The Hawks will take on a pair of collegiate rivals on the first two Saturdays in October, traveling to Lehigh on October 1 and Princeton on October 8. First pitch in each of those games is set for 11:00 a.m.
The fall slate ends with the Crimson and Gray World Series, SJU's annual intra-squad event. The best-of-three series will be played October 28-30 at Campbell's Field.
Saint Joseph's will kick off its 2012 schedule on February 17 in the USA Baseball Complex Classic in Cary, N.C.
