PHILADELPHIA (12/12/03)- The 12th-ranked Saint Joseph's men's basketball team will seek its seventh consecutive win when it visits city rival Drexel on Sunday, December 14, at The Palestra. It marks the third straight game for the Hawks at the historic venue on the University of Pennsylvania's campus. Game time is noon for the contest which will be televised locally by CN8, with the radio broadcast on WPEN Radio (950 AM). Click here for game notes, and streaming audio. The Hawks handed Boston College its first loss of the season, 67-57, on Tuesday afternoon at The Palestra. Junior Delonte West had a game-high 27 points while senior Player of the Year candidate Jameer Nelson added 13. Nelson also became the Hawks' all-time leader in career assists when he notched his fourth of the game in the second half. The senior has 584, breaking the previous mark of 580 held by Rap Curry. Drexel is 2-3 on the year and the Dragons are coming off an 89-72 win over Quinnipiac earlier in the week. Saint Joseph's lead the all-time series with the Dragons, 40-5, and owns a 10-2 record vs. Drexel at The Palestra.
