PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's senior Pat Carroll will be sidelined for two to three weeks with a shoulder injury suffered this week in practice.
Carroll, a 6-5 lefthanded guard, dislocated his right shoulder in a fall in Tuesday's practice. Carroll saw an SJU doctor today (Thursday) and it was determined that he will miss two to three weeks of practice.
It is still hopeful that the senior co-captain will be ready for the Hawks' season opener at Kansas on November 23. After the two-week period he will be reevaluated and his status updated.
Carroll is the Hawks' leading returning scorer from last year after averaging 10.1 points per game. He is one of the nation's top three-point shooters and led the Atlantic 10 for the second straight season shooting 45.8 percent.
