PHILADELPHIA (02/10/03) - Sophomore guard Delonte West picked up his third Big Five honor of the season after averaging 28 points per game in two wins this week. In a 92-75 win over Villanova, West shot 6-for-11 from the floor, 4-of-6 from behind the arc, and 9-of-9 from the line for 25 points. He exploded for a career high 31 points againt Fordham, torching the nets for 11-of-15 shooting and 5-for-6 from three. For the week, he shot 65% from the floor, 73% from long range and 93% from the line. He is leading the Big Five in scoring at 18.2 ppg and scores at a 22 ppg clip in City Series games. Saint Joseph's has clinched a tie for the Big Five championship and with a win over La Salle next week, can complete its first full, undefeated Big Five season since 1980 and its first outright title since 1982.
