Aiken and Galloway Named to Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Preseason All-Rookie Team

NEW YORK - Saint Joseph's freshmen C.J. Aiken and Langston Galloway were named to the 2010-11 Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Rookie Team, as voted on by the league's coaches and media, and announced at the A-10's Media Day.

Aiken, a 6-9 forward from Conshohocken, Pa., was the Pennsylvania Class AAAA Player of the Year in 2010. He averaged 16.9 points, 10.0 rebounds and 6.5 blocked shots for state champion Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. An All-State First Team selection, he finished his career as the program's all-time fifth leading scorer with 1,302 points.

Galloway, a 6-2 guard from Baton Rouge, La., also earned All-State First Team honors while at Christian Life Academy. He averaged 26.2 points, 5.0 assists and 5.0 steals while helping his team to the Class 1A title.

In the Preseason Poll, Temple was picked to finish first, followed by Xavier, Richmond, Dayton and Rhode Island. Saint Louis was tabbed sixth, ahead of Charlotte, Duquesne, La Salle, George Washington and Massachusetts. The Hawks were picked 12th, ahead of St. Bonaventure and Fordham.
