OLEAN, N.Y. (AP) - Jawan Carter scored a career-high 21 points and went 8-for-8 from the free throw line in the game's final two minutes to help St. Joseph's seal a 76-68 win over St. Bonaventure in the Atlantic 10 on Saturday.

After shooting 13-for-25 from the field in the first half, the Hawks (16-10, 8-4) started the second half on a 9-0 run to open up a 42-27 lead.

Still down by 15 at the 12 minute mark, St. Bonaventure (6-19, 3-9) went on a 16-3 run to pull within 51-49 but got no closer.

St. Joseph's won its third consecutive game overall and its 12th straight against the Bonnies.

St. Bonaventure turned the ball over just seven times (eight below its season average) and held St. Joseph's leading scorer Ahmad Nivins to six points (10 below his season average) but lost its fifth straight game.

Paul Williams led the Bonnies with 20 points and 13 rebounds, and A.J. Hawkins contributed 18.

Pat Calathes scored 18 and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Hawks. Rob Ferguson added 15 points and Darrin Govens had 12.
