SJU BREAKS COACHES VS. CANCER TICKET SALES MARK

PHILADELPHIA (11/11/03) - Saint Joseph's broke the ticket sales record for one school at the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, previously held by Connecticut (3,200) and Duke (3,000). The Hawks had sold 3,600 tickets through Tuesday, including 1,100 student tickets. SJU has an enrollment of 3,850. Junior Joe Hower, a history major from Bethlehem, Pa., helped SJU break the ticket sales record for one school in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic when he purchased his ticket on Nov. 11 Joe (with hands out) is joined by his friends and fellow Lambda Chi fraternity brothers from left: George Szczpanski, Matt Raffin, Sean McAvoy, Andrew Camuso, Ryan Gace, Brad Speranzo, Jim McKissick.
