PHILADELPHIA (1/30/04) - The third-ranked Saint Joseph's Hawks return to action on Saturday, January 30 with a visit to Atlantic 10 and city rival Temple at the sold-out Liacouras Center. Game time is 4 p.m. for the contest that will be televised on the Atlantic 10 TV Network and seen locally on Comcast SportsNet. Saint Joseph's is playing its first game since last Saturday's 114-63 win over St. Bonaventure, the Hawks' highest point total since 1991. The Hawks are one of two unbeaten teams in the nation, with Stanford also at 17-0. SJU is now in the midst of the longest winning streak in the school's history. Jameer Nelson continues to lead the Hawks with his 20.2 scoring average. The senior point guard was one of 30 players named to the Midseason List for the John R. Wooden Award. This matchup will not count in the Big 5 standings, as the Feb. 21 game at the Palestra After Saturday's game, the Hawks only get one day of preparation for the highly-anticipated Big 5 matchup with Villanova on Feb. 2 at The Pavilion. The game is sold out but it will be televised nationally by ESPN2.
