PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's-Georgetown baseball series scheduled for this weekend has been rescheduled and relocated. Previously slated for a three-game series at Shirley Povich Field in Rockville, MD, the teams will play a doubleheader on the campus of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. The series has been shortened to two games, as Sunday's contest has been canceled.
Shirley Povich Field has been deemed unplayable, forcing the series to be moved. The teams will meet instead at Christopher Newport University on Saturday afternoon. First pitch for game one is scheduled for noon. Game one will be a seven-inning game, followed by a nine-inning contest in game two.
