PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's standout Ahmad Nivins has been named Honorable Mention All-America as selected by the Associated Press. He becomes the first Hawk to receive the honor since Pat Carroll in 2004-05.

The 6-9 senior forward led the Hawks in scoring (19.2) and rebounding (11.7) this season en route to earning Atlantic 10 Player of the Year honors. He topped the league in rebounding and in field goal percentage (61.2%), to become just the second player in A-10 history to lead in FG percentage for three consecutive seasons.

Nivins finished his SJU career as the third leading scorer in school history and the sixth leading rebounder with 1,789 points and 955 rebounds.
