MORAGA, CA - The Saint Joseph's men's basketball team returns to action after a short break for the holiday with a two-game West Coast trip. First up for the Hawks is a meeting with Saint Mary's on Wednesday, Dec. 28, followed with a visit to #8 Gonzaga on New Year's Eve.

The Hawks are 4-3 after falling to Bucknell on December 21. Saint Mary's owns a 5-4 mark and has won four in a row.

The game, which begins at 7 p.m. (10 p.m. EST), will be televised in California only on Comcast SportsNet West. Hawk fans can hear the game on the Saint Joseph's Sports Network, with Tom McCarthy and Joe Lunardi calling the action.

The game will be the first since the Saint Joseph's family lost beloved former coach and player Jim Boyle. Boyle, 63, served as head coach of the Hawks from 1981 to 1990, but was a part of Hawk history as a player, assistant coach and head coach. Boyle hired current SJU mentor Phil Martelli as an assistant coach in 1985.

SJU will then travel to Spokane, WA, to meet the eighth-ranked Gonzaga. Game time is 3 p.m. PST (6 p.m. EST) on New Year's Eve and will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
