PHILADELPHIA - Although it doesn't quite have as long of a run as "Law and Order", the most unique coach's show in the country, Phil Martelli's "HawkTalk", begins its 11th season on the air on January 10.
"HawkTalk" will air on Comcast SportsNet in Philadelphia every Wednesday evening at 11 p.m., with the exception of Jan. 31, when it will be shown at 7 p.m. Comcast SportsNet will run replays every Thursday at either 4:00 or 4:30 p.m. (check schedule) and also at 11 a.m. on Jan. 18 and Feb. 15.
The show will be shown nationally on CSTV every Friday, beginning on Jan. 12, at 6:30 p.m.
"HawkTalk" will be taped in front of a live audience every week at the Hawk Rock Café in the Campion Center at Saint Joseph's University, and all are invited to attend. Tapings are every Tuesday beginning on January at noon, with the exception of three Monday tapings on Jan. 22, Feb. 5 and Feb. 26.
Called the best coach's show in the nation by The Sporting News in 2001, Martelli hosts the unscripted show in a "Tonight Show" setting with a variety of guests.
