Jameer Nelson Book Debuts on November 11

PHILADELPHIA - PHILADELPHIA - A book about former Saint Joseph's star Jameer Nelson entitled Jameer will make its debut on November 11. The occasion will be marked at the University Bookstore that day at noon with a book signing by authors Pete Nelson and Elaine Whelan.

The book takes an inside look at the life of Nelson and his remarkable transformation into one of the top players in college basketball. It also takes readers behind the scenes by covering Saint Joseph's remarkable 2003-04 season, through their rise to number-one in the nation and the culmination in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

Floyd "Pete" Nelson is the father of Jameer and joined with family friend Whelan to co-author the book. Whelan previously wrote My Mom's Making History - The Story of Computer Software, Copyrights and Creativity.
