RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Oumar Sylla scored all 15 of his points in the second half on Saturday as Richmond held off a late rally by Saint Joseph's en route to a 78-68 win.

The Spiders (7-20, 3-11 Atlantic 10) took the lead for good on Peter Thomas' 3-pointer with 15:17 remaining in the first half at 13-10. Richmond led by as many as 10 in the first, before the Hawks rallied to cut the lead to 35-30 at the half.

SJU's Rob Ferguson hit a layup on a first possession of the second half to cut the margin to three. The Spiders immediately began a 13-4 run that gave them a 48-36 lead with 15:33 remaining.

Richmond led by as many as 21 before a late rally by the Hawks cut the lead to 75-68 with 16 seconds remaining. Ahmad Nivins led the Hawks comeback with 15 of his 27 points.

Saint Joseph's (17-11, 9-5) also received 20 points from Pat Calathes and 13 from Jawan Carter. Nivins also picked up nine rebounds.

David Gonzalvez had 21 points for Richmond, who shot 61.7 percent from the field. Dan Geriot added 18.
