NEWARK, DE - A four-run fourth inning by Delaware (10-12) lifted the Blue Hens to a 5-3 victory over Saint Joseph's (4-16) at Bob Hannah Stadium. Junior Greg Mason had a couple of extra base hits, including a solo Home run for the Hawks.

SJU took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on back-to-back doubles by Mike Gentile and Kevin Walsh.

UD answered back and took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth a three run home run served as the big blow.

SJU made it 4-2 on Mason's solo homer in the seventh, but the Hens added a run in the eighth. The Hawks threatened in the eight and ninth, plating a final run on a pinch-hit RBI single by Dustin Onulak.

SJU looked in control early as starter Ryan Hoagey retired all nine batters he faces. Most of the Delaware damage came against reliever Jeff Williams (1-2), who suffered the loss. Brian Anecharico worked two scoreless innings and Al Bruan tossed a frame.
