Hawk Season Ticket Holders - As the Hawks finish final exams and prepare for Saint Mary's on December 19th, I am sure you are busy getting ready for the Christmas holiday. At this special time of year, SJU has once again agreed to be a drop-off location for the Toys for Tots campaign. All toys collected at the Saint Mary's game will be distributed by our student-athletes and the Marines to families in our community. Please consider supporting this worthy initiative. Also, your generous support of the Christmas Charity Collection during the Boston University game has enabled your Hawks to adopt four families from West Philadelphia this Christmas - thank you!

As you make your plans to travel to New York for the Holiday Festival on December 28 and 29, be sure to check the website for ticket and bus transportation information. A limited number of select seating opportunities exist so reserve your tickets soon. Be sure and join your fellow Hawks on December 28th prior to the Hofstra game at Tir Na Nog, located at 8th Avenue and 33rd Street. The pre-game reception will begin at 5pm.

Game tickets for the remaining 3 games at the Palestra (Pennsylvania, LaSalle and Temple) will be ready for pick up on January 3rd. The women's basketball team takes on Villanova at the Fieldhouse beginning at 6 pm and will be followed by the men's game against Duquesne. Plan to arrive early to cheer on the women and pick up your Palestra tickets. Doors will open at 5 pm. Additional tickets for LaSalle and Temple are available. Stop by the ticket office to order them now so they will be ready for the January 3rd pick up.

Additional road trips are scheduled as the Hawks begin Atlantic 10 conference play. Bus and ticket information for the Hawks game at Fordham on January 17th and at George Washington on January 24th were listed in the last issue of the Hawk Hoopla and can also be obtained from at the Ticket Office. Seating is limited so sign up soon!

I am pleased to share that progress has been made on video streaming and the A10/CSTV network. The most up-to-date TV schedule is also available at

In appreciation for your continued support of the Hawks, a special Christmas mass will be offered for your intentions on December 22nd.

May God bless you and your families and Merry Christmas!

Remember, The Hawk Will Never Die!
