MIAMI (10/24/03) - Carlos Vogt-Lowell was a pretty good high school pitcher in Puerto Rico in the late 1960s. His goal, however, was to become a dentist. Not many universities were willing to offer a scholarship, though. In fact, there was only one. Saint Joseph's. So he packed his bags and headed for Philadelphia.
