PHILADELPHIA - Season Ticket Holder Information - September 2005: We hope that you had a pleasant and enjoyable summer. Now that the beginning of the 2005-06 academic year has arrived it must mean the beginning of basketball season cannot be far behind!
The schedule is nearly finalized and we are pleased to inform you that this year's full season ticket package includes 12 games - 7 at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse and 5 at the Palestra. The Hawks' game against Kansas on December 6th at Madison Square Garden and the "away" Drexel game at the Palestra will be options for season ticket holders. The Drexel game, scheduled for November 29th will be part of a doubleheader with Pennsylvania also playing Colorado. We have been allotted 2,200 tickets for the doubleheader, and this includes students. This "in advance" sell-out doubleheader event will kick off the 50th celebration of the Big 5 so be sure and order your tickets soon.
Hard copies of the season ticket pricing information and your ticket invoice will be in the mail the week of September 19. Payment in full should be made by October 14th. Tickets not paid for by that time will be made available to those on the waiting list or current ticket holders who have requested additional seats. Full payment by October 14th will also ensure that you receive the 2005-06 Media Guide.
You may view the Hawks' schedule on the web at sjuhawks.com. Along with our non-conference opponents, we will have our usual challenges with our Atlantic 10 opponents as we look to reach the post-season once again! Also, plans are being finalized for ticket distribution for the Hawks game against Kansas at the Garden. Details will be made available soon.
There are two upcoming exciting events and information has been mailed to you- the Basketball Preseason Carnival on Saturday, Oct. 8 and the annual men's basketball Mass and Brunch on Oct. 16. Check the website or email email@example.com for more information.
We have high expectations for another exciting and successful season on Hawk Hill and are glad that you will again be along for the ride. Remember, The Hawk Will Never Die!
