Four Hawks Playing in Summer Leagues

PHILADELPHIA - Four Saint Joseph's baseball players are participating in NCAA-sanctioned summer leagues this season - Matt Godusky, Jason Hessler, Jeremy Jakubowski and Jeff Williams.

Godusky, a junior outfielder, is playing for the Quakertown Blazers of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League. Godusky batted .289 for the Hawks this season, leading the squad with 56 hits, 14 doubles, five home runs and 32 RBI. Click here for info on the Blazers.

Hessler, a sophomore righthander, is a member of the Harwich Mariners in the Cape Cod League. Hessler topped the Hawks in wins (4), starts (15), innings pitched (88.2) and strikeouts (82). He earned selection to the All-Philadelphia Diamond Five team and posted an ERA of 4.77, the second-best number on the staff. Click here for info on the Mariners.

Jakubowski, a sophomore outfielder, plays for the Maryland Bombers of the Cal Ripken Senior League. He posted the third-best average on the team (.290) and had 40 hits, 20 runs scored and 19 RBI. Click here for info on the Bombers.

Williams, a junior righthander, is a member of the Elmira Pioneers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League. He made 19 appearances for the Hawks, with eight starts, earning two wins and one save, while posting an ERA of 5.61. Click here for info on the Pioneers.
