PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's freshman Langston Galloway was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the final week of the season. It marks a league-high fifth honor for Galloway and the fourth time he has earned it in the last five weeks. He was also named the Big 5 Co-Player of the Week, sharing the award with Temple's Lavoy Allen.

Galloway averaged 18.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in leading Saint Joseph's to a 1-1 week and helping the Hawks earn a spot in the A-10 Men's Basketball Championship.

The 6-2 guard tied a career-high with 27 points in a must-win game at Charlotte that clinched a berth in the A-10 Tournament. Galloway hit the game-winning free throw with 4.1 seconds left to lift the Hawks to victory. For the game against the 49ers, Galloway was 8-for-11 from the floor and 6-for-7 from three-point land. It marked the second time he has scored 27 points in a span of three games.

Against Richmond, the Baton Rouge, La., native scored nine points, pulled down five rebounds and recorded two assists and two steals. In 71 minutes of action over two games last week, Galloway committed just one turnover.

T.J. McConnell of Duquesne has also earned the top rookie honor five times this season.

The Hawks open play in the A-10 Tournament with an opening round game at George Washington on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
