Pat Calathes Named Big 5 Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's junior Pat Calathes has been named the Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week for February 26.

Calathes averaged 23.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists in the Hawks' 1-1 week. He shot 18-for-31 (58.1 percent) and 6-for-8 (75 percent from 3-point range, while going 5-for-5 from the foul line.

The 6-10 swing player had a career-high 27 points in the 92-76 win over Temple, while grabbing six rebounds and tying his career-high with seven assists. He made a career-high 10 shots out of 15 attempts.

Calathes scored 20 points and posted nine rebounds and four assists in the loss at Richmond.

He's second on the team with his averages of 14.6 points and 7.3 rebounds. Calathes has scored in double figures in all but five games and has posted six games of 20-plus points this season.

The Hawks (17-11; 9-5) travel to Xavier on Wednesday before hosting Massachusetts in the regular-season finale on Saturday.
