A 2012 All-American and Tewaaraton Award Finalist at the University of North Carolina, Becky Lynch wrapped up her third season as an assistant coach on the Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse coaching staff in Spring 2017.

Lynch assists in all facets of the program, with a specific focus on mentoring SJU's offensive unit.

In three seasons under Lynch's direction, Saint Joseph's has produced the 2016 Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Year in Rebecca Lane as well as nine All-Conference offensive players and one All-Conference draw control specialist.

The Hawks are 25-28 since Lynch has joined the staff, which includes a historic 11-7 season in 2017 in which the Hawks broke the program record for single-season wins and made their second consecutive A-10 postseason appearance and a 9-10 season in 2016 in which the Hawks turned in the third-highest, single-season win total in program history alongside a single-season, program-best eight A-10 wins and a trip to the A-10 postseason.

Lynch enjoyed a decorated four-year career at the University of North Carolina, where she was a Tewaaraton Award Finalist, First-Team-All American, and All-ACC selection in 2012. She is UNC's record holder in both single-season assist (36) and all-time career assists (93) and the only Tar Heel in program history to be named to the All-ACC Tournament Team for four consecutive years. She was recognized as a “Leader of Distinction” in 2012 by the Carolina Leadership Academy.

"As an All-American from UNC and U.S. National Team player, we are thrilled to have Becky as a part of our coaching staff," said head coach Alex Kahoe. "She had an incredible playing career, and her coaching experience will undoubtedly have an immediate impact on our program. I am very impressed with her ability to connect with, motivate, and inspire our student-athletes."

Lynch spent the 2013-14 season as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of North Carolina, where she trained two All-ACC goalkeepers and worked with the scout team while assisting the offensive and defensive game strategies and execution.

She has also been involved in local lacrosse development, where she directed the “Young Guns” local youth lacrosse program and led numerous clinics at the high school level. As a camp instructor at both Carolina Lacrosse and Amonte Lacrosse since 2008, Lynch has worked camps and clinics for lacrosse players looking to improve their fundamental skills.

Lynch gained valuable experience working as a Lacrosse Ambassador for the English Lacrosse Association, out of Bedfordshire, England. She worked as a full-time physical education teacher at Bedford Girls School and as a lacrosse specialist.

She was inducted into the Garden City High School Sports Hall of Fame in June 2013 and was a member of the United States National Women's Lacrosse Team.

Lynch currently plays professionally for the Philadelphia Force, one of four teams of the inaugural United Women's Lacrosse League. She was selected in the fifth round as the 19th overall pick on April 13, 2016 and scored the first goal in the program's history on May 28, 2016.

Lynch earned a bachelor's of arts degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina in May 2012.
