Teddy Meyers, a 2007 graduate and 12-time letterwinner of the Saint Joseph's men's cross country and track teams, enters his ninth season as assistant coach of the Hawks in 2016-17.

In a newly-created position, Meyers also served as the assistant coach of both the women’s cross country and track and field teams, as well as the recruiting coordinator for both programs in 2015-16. Meyers assists in all facets of the cross country programs and works primarily with jumpers and sprinters during both men’s and women’s track and field seasons.

In 2015, Meyers helped guide the men’s cross country squad to the 2016 Atlantic 10 title and IC4A silver medal and the women’s cross country squad to a seventh-place finish, a six-place improvement from the previous year.

Meyers coached successful sprinters and jumpers on both the men’s and women’s side in 2015-16, including high jumper Claudine Andre, who turned in back-to-back A-10 silver medals and represented Saint Joseph’s at the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds.

Overall, Meyers has helped guide the Hawks to a pairs of first-place finishes (2015, 2009), second-place finishes (2013, 2012), and third-place finishes (2014, 2011) on the cross country scene as well as back-to-back third-place finishes at the A-10 Indoor Championships from 2014-15.

A standout student-athlete at SJU, Meyers built an impressive résumé of both athletic and academic accomplishments throughout his career on Hawk Hill. Meyers was a two-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference cross country honoree and won both the Atlantic 10 indoor and outdoor 5k titles in 2006.

For his dedication in the classroom, Meyers was selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track teams for the 2005-06 and 2006-07 campaigns. His six academic honors are the second most received by any track member at Saint Joseph's in program history.

In May 2007, Meyers graduated from Saint Joseph's University with his bachelor's degree in economics. The Bethel Park, Pa. native also graduated from the MBA program at SJU's Haub School of Business in 2010.
