Senior high jumper Claudine Andre capped one of the most successful careers in program history with a 13th-place finish at the 2018 NCAA East Regional Preliminary Rounds, held at the University of South Florida's Track and Field Stadium on Thursday afternoon. Andre battled brilliantly in a field of the top 48 declared high jumpers east of the Mississippi River.

Seven Hawks across three varsity teams were selected as 2018 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars, it was announced in the April 5th edition of Diverse: Issues In Higher Education, Volume 35, No. 5. Saint Joseph's men's track and field sophomore short sprinter David Bryant and baseball sophomore outfielder Tim Johnson earned First Team honors, while men's track and field senior long sprinter Barren McCoy earned Third Team recognition. From the women's track and field squad, senior long/triple jumper Aarynn Crawley and senior hurdler/long sprinter Rose O'Brien were tabbed to the Fourth Team while junior short sprinter Nathaniela Bourdeau and sophomore hurdler/long sprinter Tamar Bourdeau were recognized as Honorable Mentions.
Senior Claudine Andre earned the silver medal in the high jump to lead the Saint Joseph's women's track and field squad to a 29th-place finish in a field of 45 squads at the 2018 ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, held at Princeton University's Weaver Stadium this weekend. With a trio of All-East performances out of the high jump, long jump, and 4x800m relay, the Hawks accumulated 11 points for the two-day meet.
