With their third consecutive loss, the Hawks fall to 3-9-4 (1-4-1 A-10) while the Rams, winners of seven of their last eight matches, improve to 8-4-0 (5-1-0 A-10).

Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. on Sweeney Field. The Hawks, predicted to finish 12th this season, sit 10th in league standings with four points while the Rams are in a three-way tie for second with 12 points. Prior to the start of Saturday's match, the Saint Joseph's men's soccer program will hold a brief memorial in honor of former Hawk coach Jack Ruggero '69. At halftime, Tim Mulqueen '87 (Fords, N.J./St. Joseph's High School) will be enshrined in the Saint Joseph's University Men's Soccer Hall of Fame. Tim Mulqueen '87 to be Inducted into SJU Men's Soccer Hall of Fame

Tim Mulqueen '87 (Fords, N.J./St. Joseph's High School) will be enshrined in the Saint Joseph's University Men's Soccer Hall of Fame at halftime of the Hawks' game against VCU on Saturday, October 21. Regarded as one of the top goalkeeping instructors in the United States, Mulqueen has coached some of the biggest names in U.S. soccer history, including Kasey Keller, Marcus Hahnemann, Brad Guzan and Tony Meola. He is credited with helping to launch the career of current U.S. National Teamer Tim Howard.

McCusker Named Soccer Six Defensive Player of the Week

A force on both sides of the ball in Atlantic 10 play last week, junior defender Eddie McCusker has been named the Philadelphia Soccer Six Defensive Player of the Week. McCusker scored his first collegiate goal, dished out a match-winning assist, and played the full 182:55 on the back line through SJU's two matches last week to earn the first weekly honor of his career on Monday afternoon.

Redshirt freshman defender Ben Cochran scored his first collegiate goal in the 40th minute and senior goalkeeper Greg O'Connell made a career-high nine saves to lead the Saint Joseph's men's soccer squad to an eventual 2-0 win over George Mason in Atlantic 10 action on Sweeney Field on Saturday evening. With their first win since September 6, the Hawks improve to 3-6-3 (1-1-0 A-10) while the Patriots fall to 5-4-2 (0-2-1 A-10).
