Senior forward Anna Willocks re-wrote the Saint Joseph's field hockey record book once again, scoring the 68th goal of her career as the 14th-ranked Hawks routed Temple, 6-0, at Ellen Ryan Field on Sunday afternoon. Willocks now holds the school records for goals, assists, and points in a career.

Junior forward Leon Maric scored the match-winning goal in the 98th minute to lead the Saint Joseph's men's soccer squad to a 3-2 overtime victory over #21 Fordham on Sweeney Field on Saturday afternoon. With their first Atlantic 10 win of the 2018 campaign, the Hawks improve to 7-3-2 overall and 1-0-2 in league play, earning three conference points with the victory. Also of note, SJU improves to 5-0-1 at home this season to remain unbeaten on Hawk Hill.

Saint Joseph's head coach Mike Glavin has always described recent graduate Dan Savage as "phenomenally dedicated," a true Hawk who took that extra time to be proactive because he didn't want his career to end without taking his legitimate shot. Savage took that shot by coming back for a fifth year in 2017-18, and now, voted on by the league's Directors of Athletics, Savage has been declared the Atlantic 10's 2017-18 Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, presented to a male and female student-athlete based on both their athletic success and academic prowess.

The Saint Joseph's field hockey team is set for a pair of crosstown rivalry games this week, as the Hawks will visit Drexel on Friday before hosting Temple on Sunday. Sunday's game is part of the Philadelphia Classic Tournament; La Salle and Holy Cross will meet in the second game of the day at Ellen Ryan Field. It will also be Alumnae Day on Hawk Hill as the Hawks welcome former players, family, and friends to enjoy the game against Temple before taking part in a postgame tailgate.
